Who are We...

Based in the South West of England, we are a small, friendly, family-orientated business who work with families, schools and local councils. Our mission is to make education accessible for all, allowing children to thrive and become confident, independent learners.

South West Tuition are dedicated to providing high-quality educational support for primary aged children. We work with a range of learners and can support children with SEND, EBSA, EOTAS, an EHCP or who have EAL. Our team of qualified, experienced teachers deliver expertly planned, personalised learning to ensure every child succeeds.

Our tortoise themed morning was a hit!

In our small group we planned and carried out experiments to find out:

✅️If all tortoises move at the same speed
✅️A tortoises favourite colour
✅️Whether a tortoise prefers celery or lettuce

We shared tortoise jokes, read facts and put everything in these impressive booklets.

An Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is a legal document that outlines a child’s needs and the support they need to achieve their goals. EHCPs are for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) who are aged 0–25.

We linked today's session to multiplication. By looking at arrays we came up with the best way to package the chocolates.

Afterwards we priced them and calculated which were the best value for money.

Food and maths always goes so nicely together 🤗

Knowing your times tables makes maths sooooo much easier but practicing them can be pretty boring! We make it fun by playing games, singing songs, spotting patterns and using little tricks.

The more you practice, the faster you’ll get! 🚀

Early reading can be a little like Marmite – some children love it and some hate it.

Inject some love into your child’s reading by:

⭐️ Sharing the reading – take it in turns, reading a page or paragraph each.

⭐️ Encourage your child to choose books that interest them – this can be tricky when choosing books from a reading scheme as there area number of questionable ones! Choose from a range of sources including magazines & online books.

⭐️ Read to your child – children love to hear stories, especially if you can do silly voices and actions.
